Our New
Facilities:
On April 1st, 2010, Mass Histology Service, Inc. moved into
it's newly constructed facility in Worcester, MA. It was unceremoniously
dedicated as the Harold T. Roslund, Jr. Memorial Laboratory in honor of my
best friend. Please enjoy the following photos of our new
"home".
You can go through the main door to drop off specimens...
Or drop them in the night deposit box.

Here's Janet in the new reception area.
Behind the reception area is receiving ...
and ...
send-out.

Here's Amanda, the office manager, in her new office.

Jim's office...

Many famous cases were solved looking through these eyepieces.

Here is the highly secured GLP office.

With its fire-proof file
cabinet ...

and tomes of SOP's.

Further down the hall ...

Is our kitchen ...

and "time out" room.

The main histology lab.

Another view of the histology Lab.

and another ...

Our back-up cryostat.

Grossing and specimen
holding area.

Another view of the
grossing area ...

The embedding station ...

How's this? A cutting
station with a window!
A window for each
histologist!

Except no window for this
histologist ...

Here's the super secure GLP
lab ...

Let's go into the special
stains room ...

Every special stain is done
in this room.

Here is where the automatic
dishwasher is going ...

"Big" Ben working
hard ...

Let's enter the ventilated
Lab ...

Where we process ...

stain and coverslip all of
the H&E's.

"Safety" is our
middle name.

Now let's go into the
immunohistochemistry Lab ...

Tools of the trade.

More tools ...

The last room on this tour
is New England Horse Labs ...

Let's go in ...

Incubators, autoclaves,
centrifuges and microscopes.

... and a hepafilter fume
hood.
And that's the end of our
tour. Thanks for joining us and ya'll come back, ya hear?
